45 Clay and other 3D and Art Projects for ages 6-9 Classes start on Jan 8, but we are hiring now! Our philosophy is to use projects and activities that allow us to both introduce and deepen the learning experience for our students, with activities designed to provide opportunities for students to practice critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration and communication.
We are looking for teachers that can design their projects with these skills in mind.
Teachers must be willing to bring in a curriculum that they have already developed, follow an existing curriculum like Meet the Masters, or develop their curriculum.
We also like our students to bring home evidence of learning through projects done in the classroom, developmental worksheets or whatever the teacher feels will help the child deepen and sustain their learning.
Learning should be both fun and challenging, so we favor an approach that allows a teacher to differentiate successfully, allowing a child to achieve success and build on their abilities at a pace that is comfortable for them.
We do not believe that a child's age determines their abilities, and therefore our classes allow attendance in a 3-4 year age range and we do not focus on giving grades for our K-8 classes.
To help parents choose appropriate classes for their children, we ask teachers to clearly indicate skills that a child should have already to succeed in their class(es), while also providing a thorough class description that includes books being read, projects and activities that will occur in the classroom.
Class sizes are between 5-12 students.
Our community enjoys all types of classes, and teachers are welcome to offer classes that they feel will support our community that are outside of what we are specifically looking for.
We're always looking for unique classes in technology, engineering, cooking, social studies and more! Our kids love to learn! We are constrained only by the number of rooms that we have available to us.
Registration has already opened so we are hiring NOW! Pay is dependent upon the number of students that attend the class.
Independent Contractors are welcome to apply but must have a bonafide company with an EIN.
